In Chapter 37 Stu gets to meet Kojak (yay!) and Glen Bateman, a former professor of sociology who has some thoughts on the future of mankind. 

Being the last two living people in Ogunquit, Fran and Harold decide to leave Maine and head for the Stovington CDC in Vermont, because surely there are people there who will be able to help them, right?
